Greetings from your Middleton Robotics Team.

Your Robotics Team placed fourth at the FIRST Palmetto Regional in Columbus, South Carolina on Saturday. We finished 7th place in the qualifying rounds out of 45 teams in the Palmetto Regional. This allowed us to compete in the final rounds Saturday and we made it to the semifinals (these are the best two of three matches with the top 8 teams).

We also received a Judges Award which is even more significant than winning the competition. They gave us this award because we helped several other teams to get their autonomous function working and because our autonomous worked to score in 8 of the 10 qualifying rounds showing that it had the most consistent autonomous function in the entire regional competition.

You can look at these standings at the following link at FIRST for the Palmetto Regional: HERE The Team has qualified (by Winning the Peach Tree regional) and is in need of funds to travel and compete in the FIRST National Championship in Atlanta, GA on April 12th. If you can help in any way please let us know.

GREAT JOB TEAM MINOTAUR!!! Not just to those who went but everyone that contributed their time and energy during the build season and to our team

Mentors...and especially all the assistance we got during build season and then at PEACHTREE from TEAM 1902. FOR EXAMPLE TWO PROGRAMMING MENTORS FOR TEAM 1902 WENT UP TO DULUTH, GA AND THEN MADE SURE THAT WE HAD A WORKING AUTONOMOUS MODE...SO THAT DURING THE FINAL MATCHES WE SCORED IN AUTONOMOUS 5 OF 6 TIMES...AN AMAZING AND AWESOME JOB AND THANKS GO TO TEAM 1902 AND TEAM 1369 AND TO THE COOPERATION THAT HAS ACCOMPLISHED AND ESTABLISHED MAINLY BY STEVE KOWSKI, ROGER REQUELME, AND DAN, WENDY, THE TWO MIKES... TOO MANY TO MENTION ALL BUT WE OWE EACH OTHER STRONG COMPLEMENTS AND THANKS SO MUCH...TEAM 1902 CAME WITHIN A HAIRSBREADTH OF WINNING THE FLORIDA REGIONAL AND WE WON THE PEACHTREE REGIONAL...

I WOULD HOPE THAT BETWEEN US WE GET ONE MORE REGIONAL EITHER LAS VEGAS (1902) OR PALMETTO (1369) OR MAYBE EVEN BOTH AND THEN WE MEET UP AT THE NATIONAL IN HOT'LANTA IN THE GEORGIA DOME TO DO SOME SERIOUS COMPETITING.

This weekend the team is meeting both Saturday and Sunday. Be prepared to work hard in the last few days before shipping the robot.

The robot is 95% complete, all that needs to be done is the addition of the pneumatic on the arm. We also need to complete the programming for the robot in autonomous mode. Go Minotaurs!
